What's Happening?

I need to get back in the blogging groove. Spring fever has been beckoning me outdoors. I have been trying to keep up on my favorite blogs and see that you guys have been busy busy busy!

I finished the table runner that I rescued from Goodwill. Bound it, quilted it and washed it into crinkly old-fashioned goodness.

Do you see that Currier & Ives print on the wall there? (if you're like me, you do -- I love looking in the background of blogger's photos!) Well, it is one of three seasons. What? There are more than three seasons? Oh yeah. I am missing Winter. I have found it available for sale as a print but how would I ever match the other three frames? I'll have to figure that out someday.

Ooooh, look below. Spring time is arriving in a glorious burst of color!

And, tonight! Our first picking from the asparagus patch.
Mmmm, we are in for about two months of deliciousness.
Did you know that you can pick asparagus up until the 4th of July and then should let it go to seed?

Hope you all are enjoying the weather and the special treats that each season brings!

glad to see you back, don't tell me those are tulips in your yard!! they look gorgeous! I think tulips are one of my most favorite flowers, partly because they're the first real flowers after winter. my tulips are just peeking out of the ground here, (up north)(far up north)

Your pretty row of tulips would have me outdoors, too! I like how the rescued runner turned out, but I was looking at the neat old dresser, not your print, sorry! tell me, the way us quilter like to mix things up, would it really matter that the frames didn't match...?

And growing your own asparagus, YUM!! We only recently discovered broiling with EVOO and spices, so-o good! Before that, I diagonally sliced about 1 1/2 " and quick blanched it, really good that way in a salad. To have access to that great green food in my own yard would be wonderful! Lucky you! :-} pokey

Your table runner turned out so nice! It looks good with the dresser scarf layered underneath it. The tulips are gorgeous, and the asparagus--yummy!

Sue,

It's fun reading what you have been up to! That table runner turned out very nice. Oh, I did noticed the Currier & Ives picture. Your tulips and asparagus are just great! :)

Thank you for your kind words on my quilting on the "presents" block. No, I have not done any BSR tutorials. I have been thinking about it though... let me work on developing the ideas in my head for a couple of weeks and see if I couldn't come up with a decent tutorial!

Happy Stitching.

Hi Sue,

Thank you for stopping by. No, Baby's quilt was not a surprise. Barbara had told me about it before Baby was even born. And I have seen the progress as the quilt project unfolded. But I just didn't think Barbara was going to bring the finished quilt when she came by to visit last week.
